A Bit About Mom

I love visiting my mom. She has been in Victorian Square Assisted Living since summer after spending a few months in a nursing home after a fall. We had seen many signs of her progressing dementia/alzheimers for quite awhile before she entered the nursing home.

After being evaluated while there, we were told she could not live safely without constant supervision, so when she was able to leave the nursing home, we moved her to asst. living.
It took her awhile to adjust, but is doing great now! She's very content, and thankfully, has stayed well amidst all the sickness going around.

Some days her memory and confusion are much worse, but does well most of the time. She does still know us, but we are saddened as we see the progression of the disease. So I cherish talking with her.

Quilting has always been a great joy in her life and now she is enjoying sewing squares of material together. This keeps her busy, and that's a good thing.
Isn't she precious~
